Russia’s Renova says gets no offers to sell T Plus
SOCHI, Sep 30 (PRIME) -- Russian multi-industry holding Renova Group has not received any offers to sell its unit, power producer T Plus, Viktor Vekselberg, the group’s main owner and chairman of the board of directors, told reporters Friday.
“No,” he said when asked a relevant question.
Ensuring power supplies in 16 Russian regions, T Plus is currently involved in a bribery case.
According to the Investigative Committee, in 2007–2014, the former and current top executives of IES Holding, which has been reorganized into T Plus, gave bribes to officials in the Komi Republic for setting the best prices for heat and electric power and providing other incentives. The total sum of bribes exceeded 800 million rubles and a criminal case has been opened.
T Plus CEO Boris Vainzikher and Board Chairman Yevgeny Olkhovik were arrested in mid-September for two months under the case, and Mikhail Slobodin, who chaired IES Holding in 2002–2020, was arrested in absentia.
